- Arguing with Council
If council deletes one of your messages, they had a reason to do so. If you automatically get defensive
about people deleting your messages instead of kindly asking where your message went, council or special faeries might suspend
you. Automatically getting defensive about missing/deleted messages is considered rude. It tells the council/special faeries
that you either do not care about the rules/ or did not read them. Either way, it is disrespectful towards the council/special
faeries to create anything they deem to be problematic.
- Disrespecting Council/The Guild/Members.
If council and/or special faeries feel you have been disrespectful to them, they have a right to suspend
you for one day. They don't have to explain their thoughts to you either. Remember, this council was voted by you. And, if
you cannot respect the people you voted for, you do not deserve to be apart of the guild. If you have a complaint about why
you were suspended, contact other council with your questions..
These rules also apply to how you treat other members
and the guild in general. If council and/or special faeries thing you have been disrespectful to anyone, you run the chance
of being suspended.
Remember, the best rule is to treat everyone exactly how you wish to be treated. This is
the best way to avoid disrespecting the guild, the council, special faeries or any other member of the guild.
- Continuously using hard to read or annoying fonts/colors.
We ask that people do not use hard to read fonts. We will automatically delete any messages
that we see that are against the rules. If someone continuously uses unacceptable fonts, we will suspend them. Any fonts that
the admin team finds hard to read will be considered against the guild's rules.
You can modify your chat font preferences
here: http://www.neopets.com/neoboards/preferences.phtml. We expect all guild members to alter their chat preferences in accordance with guild rules. Most members
that would use fonts before the guild changes would save their preferences in files on their computers. This can be done too.
Save your NeoBoard Font chat preferences and Guild Font chat preferences in file on your computer so it's easy to change between
fonts.
FONTS NOT ALLOWED: All Glow Text, All Shadow Text, All "Sparkly" Text. Fonts that
are weird typefaces and are hard to read. Fonts that are excessively small even on a standard monitor/LCD settings will not
be allowed. Fonts colors that are hard to read will not be allowed. Also, font sizes of 1 or 3+ may not be allowed. If you
use any fonts in those sizes, council might delete your message and ask you to change your font size. If they request that
you change your font size, do it or you might get suspended.
SIGNATURES:
We ask that you use only ONE signature. If you use the signature space provided on the Chat Preferences page, then do not include a signature in your main content of your guild messages. Also, signatures are
NOT to include advertisements like beauty contests, shops, or trade lots at any time. If needed, you must alter your signature
along with your font when you want to post in the guild. Signatures can also be saved in a file on your computer.
The
ONLY acceptable use of any font types that are against the rules above are for signatures only. We are not here to
stifle your personality; but, we do not want to see a whole post that is hard to read. Please keep any font changes/styles
to your signature to reflect your personality.
- Informing people that they are breaking the rules or directing people to the
rules..
ONLY council are allowed to inform people of the rules and tell another when they have broken
the rules. No exceptions.
SPAM: Short Pointless -OR- Annoying Messages
_Also_
"When you signed up on neopets, there was a little blue link that said if you agree to the terms and conditions, you had
to say yes or else you wouldn't be able to sign on. You agreed and since you broke the rules you will be reported with no
sympathy towards futher replies."
This may seem a little harsh, but we are serious about the rules. You break them, you serve the consequences.
